Our Fabulous & Affordable Collection

If you are over the age of 40 and struggling to see small print with your current glasses, you probably need multifocal lenses. Progressive lenses are the lens of choice for virtually anyone who needs corrective lenses to see distant objects clearly (due to nearsightedness, farsightedness and/or astigmatism) and also has become presbyopic. With the added benefit of a “line-free” design, to bifocals or trifocals; they look like regular glasses and even give you a more youthful appearance.

In particular, modern progressive lenses are preferred for anyone who wants the latest technology in multifocal vision correction and also wants the most appealing eyeglasses possible with no old-fashioned lines in the lenses. And this is where we come in!

Benefits of Switching to Progressives…

Most people start needing multifocal eyeglasses sometime after age 40. This is when a normal aging change in the eye called presbyopia reduces our ability to see clearly up close. For anyone with presbyopia, progressive lenses have significant visual and cosmetic benefits compared with traditional bifocals and trifocals. Progressive lenses have many more lens powers than bifocals or trifocals, and there’s a gradual change in power from point to point across the surface of the lens. The multifocal design of progressive lenses offers these important benefits:

  • With progressive lenses, you won’t need to have more than one pair of glasses with you. You don’t need to swap between your reading and regular glasses. It provides clear vision at all distances.
  • Vision with progressives can seem natural. If you switch from viewing something up close to something far away, you won’t get a “jump” (This is where objects abruptly change in clarity and apparent position when your eyes move across the visible lines in these lenses.) like you would with bifocals or trifocals. So if you’re driving, you can look at your dashboard, at the road, or at a sign in the distance with a smooth transition.
  • They look like regular glasses and give you a more youthful appearance. In one study, people who wore traditional bifocals were given progressive lenses to try. The study’s author said most made the switch for good.
